BCA has announced the appointment of Konrad Zwirner into the new role of European strategic development director, with effect from 1 June 2016.

In this new role, reporting to Jean-Roch Piat, European chief operating officer of remarketing, Zwirner will develop a three-year business plan for BCA’s European operations, with a focus on growth and the provision of new services in the mid-term.

Zwirner brings with him a wealth of experience gained in automotive logistics and joins BCA directly from his current position as a senior director of Hödlmayr International AG, a pan-European vehicle logistics supplier. His responsibilities with Hödlmayr included business growth across Europe, and establishing start-up operations in Latin America.

Tim Lampert, chief finance officer of BCA Marketplace, said: “Zwirner’s appointment is of critical importance to achieving our strategic objectives in Europe and to meet our longer term goals.  His experience and drive will be invaluable in both strengthening the core European team and in implementing key initiatives and solutions to meet the needs of our customers.”
