Addison Lee Group has launched a recruitment drive as it seeks an additional 1,000 new drivers to meet Christmas demand across the business.

The sudden surge in employees is needed due to, “recent contract wins, international expansion and an increase in business and consumer demand driven by premium service and competitive pricing”.

Drivers are needed for for its’ Addison Lee and Tristar businesses in London, Manchester and Luton.

Successful candidates are PCO-licensed, and receive training on London knowledge before they begin driving.

Addison Lee vehicles complete 30,000 journeys a day in London, supporting Londoners as they move around the capital.

The company is looking to work with 900 new drivers for the Addison Lee fleet, as well as 100 executive chauffeur drivers to support the Tristar team.

Addison Lee’s chief executive Andy Boland said: “With demand growing and Christmas approaching, Addison Lee wants to add to the pool of talented drivers providing our passengers with a premium service.

“With our new driver deal and financial incentives to meet customer demand, I’m confident that Addison Lee drivers can enjoy a happy holiday season.”

Only one out of three candidates is selected to be an Addison Lee driver.
