Mike Wise has been appointed group sales director at vGroup International, following a restructure as the company moves into the next phase of expansion.

vGroup International’s rapid growth coupled with a desire to provide further enhanced support to customers across the business in a rapidly changing vehicle market has resulted in the creation of three autonomous divisions.

Each division has its own specialist teams and online platform to deliver exceptional customer service and experience across the diverse sectors through which the business operates.

Below holding company VGI Holdings are: vGroup International, which includes vLease servicing the contract hire and leasing sector, mobile accessory fitment service vComms, and dealer, vehicle manufacturer and export market sectors; retail division P1 Limited; and Middleton Manufacturing, which manufactures car mats and other vehicle accessories.

Additionally, Wise’s brief includes responsibility for overseeing the practical and strategic integration into vGroup International of two recent acquisitions - Cosmos Motor Accessories and Middleton Manufacturing.

In a 37-year automotive industry career, Wise has held senior roles in a number of organisations, particularly companies operating in the fleet sector notably as director at technology solutions provider epyx, head of Kwik Fit’s fleet division and managing director of ATS Euromaster. More recently he has been working with industry colleagues to develop online platforms in various market sectors.

Since the beginning of October 2017, Wise has been working in tandem with vGroup International sales and customer service director Vicky Arnold, who leaves the company on December 22, 2017.

“The company is continuing to expand its share of the motor accessories market, notably in the fleet sector where it has strong business partnerships with many of the UK’s major contract hire and leasing companies, vehicle leasing brokers and outright purchase fleets.

“Meanwhile, the recent acquisitions deliver new challenges, which include integrating the two businesses into vGroup International, while also seeking to examine the OEM potential for introducing production line fitting.

“I am using my experience and marketplace knowledge as the company gears up for a new phase of growth in 2018 and beyond,” said Wise.
