Sales and marketing director Lisa Temperton has raised more than £3,000 with a charity wing walk in hopes to raise £24,000 for Hope for Tomorrow.

Temperton (pictured) climbed up and ‘walked’ on the wings of a biplane over the skies of Gloucestershire and completed a loop the loop, in aid of the charity which provides a Mobile Cancer Care Unit (MCCU) so patients can receive treatment at home.

Sponsors have so far contributed more than £2,000 and Activa Contracts’ parent company, the Arnold Clark Group has pledged to match the amount raised up to £1,000.

Temperton said: “I’d like to thank all of the people who kindly donated, I am so pleased to have raised money for such an amazing cause.

"The wing walk was an unbelievable experience and I loved it so much that I went up twice! A truly fantastic day.”

The team was led by charity founder and trustee Christine Mills, she said: “Lisa absolutely smashed her wing walk fundraising target. She took the day by the horns and flew not once but twice with the second time taking to the clouds and doing a daredevil loop the loop.

“Overall the day was a huge success with 10 participants. Ages ranged from our youngest at 19 and the oldest, a long standing supporter of Hope for Tomorrow, Suzanne Barr at 84

"So far we have raised £17,000 from the team’s tremendous efforts, and the funds are still rolling in.”
