Vertu Motors has “strengthened” its senior management team by promoting Jonathan Snelson to group fleet director.

Snelson (pictured) has been with the company for two years, and was recently promoted from his role as fleet director for VAG, Nissan and Renault.

Prior to this, he held senior roles within L and L Automotive and Sytner.

Snelson said: “Vertu is a company which is constantly evolving in every aspect of the business and it creates opportunities, rather than waiting for a break.

"This is something I will continue to demonstrate and utilise in my new role.

“I enjoy building strong, effective relationships and I am eager to continue that and support the future of Vertu’s fleet division in my new role.”

His objective as fleet group director will be to establish key relationships and act as the central point of contact for fleet customers for sales and aftersales.

The company feels that its investment in this role signals “the desire to expand its large-scale fleet operations across the whole franchise portfolio.”

Vertu Motors’ chief operations officer David Crane said: “Jonathan has invaluable industry experience and has established an excellent track record since joining us in 2016. I have no doubt that he will excel in his new position.”
