Mark Chessman has been appointed to the newly created post of chief operating officer of the Redde group of companies.

The new role will see Chessman (pictured) oversee performance in each of Redde’s subsidiary businesses and support the leadership teams to achieve their objectives within the strategic vision for the group.

Commenting on the changes Redde chief executive, Martin Ward, said: “The new role of Redde chief operating officer signals the increased focus we are placing on delivering our strategic objectives and recognises the major contribution Mark made to the growth and success of FMG as CEO.”

Chessman's replacement as managing director at Redde company FMG is Harvey Stead. A key member of the leadership team with 13 years’ experience at FMG, Stead will take up the new position with immediate effect.

Ward said: “Harvey has made a major contribution to the FMG senior team over many years as commercial director and his appointment as managing director provides both continuity for FMG with his understanding of operations and people but also brings new energy to continue FMG’s successful growth.”
