FleetCheck expands software development team

Two new appointments have been made to the software development team at fleet management company FleetCheck.

Simon Kelly has been announced as the new IT team leader for FleetCheck. His new role will see him managing the core software team of three developers and one tester and he will report to IT director, Neil Avent.

With 18 years’ experience in the IT sector, his responsibilities will include, facilitating collaboration and communication with other teams within the company, leading the prioritisation of projects and assisting the compliance manager with technological aspects of information and data security in line with ISO 27001 and GDPR.

Fola Ayeni has also been appointed as FleetCheck’s new software tester. With a five-year background in IT, her responsibilities will include ensuring test coverage of all aspects of the software, as well as creating test plans specific to current projects.

Peter Golding, managing director at FleetCheck, said: “We’re very pleased to welcome Simon and Fola on board. We have grown rapidly over the last couple of years, reaching our 1,000th customer in January and averaging about 50% annual growth.

“We have extensive and exciting product plans for 2020 and further into the future, and the extra development capacity and expertise these new appointments are providing is crucial to our ambitions.”
