Police forces across the country are considering deploying advanced telematics systems in an effort to drive down costs.
The head of transport at the UK’s fourth largest police force believes others will follow its lead and fit vehicles with sophisticated telematics devices in a bid to manage driver behaviour, improve fleet efficiency and drive down costs.
The use of a car by West Yorkshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner, which was confiscated from a drug dealer, has been criticised.
