What’s the opportunity?

As a Logistics Manager you will be responsible for the transport function, ensuring the efficient and cost effective fulfilment of all customer requirements.

You will provide inspirational leadership to your team and work in partnership with all customers to ensure productivity, accuracy and cost targets are met and exceeded. Ensuring that all requirements relating to safety, health, environment and quality are being fully implemented

Your responsibilities

 Planning and delivery of operational transport activities through your Transport Team Managers, to ensure the required level of service is provided to the customer

 Accountability for overall productivity within the operation, ensuring that activities are cost effective and levels of resource are managed effectively

 Maintaining and improving performance levels to maximise efficiency of operation in line with account KPI’s

 Effectively motivate, manage and inspire your Transport Team Managers to develop and grow the skills of their teams

 Analysing customer feedback/information & propose innovative ideas to enhance the overall function

 Driving forward the continuous improvement of the operation  Working within the departmental budget to own and achieve targets

 Ensuring that all requirements relating to safety, health, environment and quality are being fully implemented What will you need to succeed?

 Thorough knowledge and hands on experience of working in a large, complex transport function

 A passion for encouraging team work, with an innovative approach to leadership – being creative and implementing new ways to improve performance and get the best out of your people

 A focus on promoting a culture where all employees are engaged

 Excellent customer relationship building skills  Strong commercial awareness

 An analytical mind-set with a good understanding of reporting and recording performance statistics.

 Relevant transport management systems knowledge

 CPC Licence holder

 Flexibility to work within a fast-paced 24/7 business
