Day Rate: £220 – £280 per day (depending on experience and project value)

Company Overview:
We are a specialist logistics company working closely with Tier 1 Main Contractors on high-value commercial refurbishment projects ranging from £20 million to £60 million. Operating in the heart of Central London, we are known for delivering structured, safe and efficient logistics solutions that meet the complex demands of inner-city construction environments.

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Logistics Manager/ Construction Managers to join our team on a freelance basis. You will play a pivotal role in managing site logistics for major commercial refurbishment projects. Your leadership will ensure the smooth coordination of deliveries, waste management, site access and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate and manage site logistics on a daily basis in line with programme requirements

Liaise with Tier 1 Main Contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to manage delivery schedules and logistics movements

*

Implement and enforce logistics and site traffic management plans

*

Ensure compliance with all health & safety requirements, including PPE protocols and restricted access areas

*

Supervise logistics teams including traffic marshals, delivery managers and waste operatives

*

Maintain detailed records of logistics activities and report to site and project managers

*

Coordinate crane lifts, hoists and other key plant movements when required

*

Manage site waste disposal in line with environmental legislation

*

Support inductions and toolbox talks related to logistics and site conduct

Requirements:

*

Proven experience in a Logistics Manager or Construction Manager role on commercial refurbishment or construction projects (preferably in Central London)

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) – Required

*

CSCS Card – Required

*

First Aid at Work – Required

*

Asbestos Awareness – Preferred

*

Strong leadership and communication skills

*

Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines

*

Thorough understanding of health & safety practices and logistics coordination in a live construction environment
