Experienced Logistics Manager required for one of our flagship projects. Managing a new logistics site from the very start, including setting up the racking space etc.
Lots of documentation required so this must be something you are both used to doing and comfortable with.
Must be eligible for SC Clearance
Role Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Logistics, the Logistics Manager will be responsible for the HPC project logistics and the inventory control of telent and customer consigned assets managed by telent?s supply chain systems.
You will also be the point of escalation for operations queries from the Project Team to ensure that the project delivers to contractual requirements.
You will be responsible for improving an existing process, establishing new ways of working, and driving process improvements across the project and warehouse facility.
Deliverables include:
Customer project inventory control processes and responsible for ensuring the best possible practice is achieved and in line with telent business processes.
Responsibility to deliver documentation on time and in line with the Project LDRC, creating and documenting the project logistics processes and supporting the client?s expectations.
To work closely with the Head of Operations, Engineering & Procurement teams to create and maintain critical workflow and reporting templates to evolve the integration of the Oracle application within the telent business
To provide monthly KPI?s on inventory management and stock integrity of items held with Suppliers, Bridgewater facility, Client storage and site compound.
To monitor inventory accuracy and provide recommendations for corrective action (system, people, or process) to prevent future re-occurrence
To oversee and drive daily cycle counting and periodic physical inventory audits within Project related storage areas.
To facilitate month-end logistics and inventory activities to provide the necessary reporting into Finance and Senior Management
Arrange logistics / transportation collections & deliveries
To lead stock audits and manage any non-conformances
To manage IT system changes affecting Logistics and co-ordinate training to the telent and customer user community where applicable
To manage the Logistics service delivery, in line with the Project Team?s contractual commitments and ensuring any service changes are captured and understood whilst providing a unified and consistent approach
To advise of any supply chain lifecycle issues and disseminate as appropriate.
To ensure telent?s and the projects Quality, H&S, Environmental and Security procedures are adopted and implemented
To manage team members by carrying out regular team meetings, face to face catch ups and performance reviews
Managing day-to-day operational metrics, including complaints. Developing and owning appropriate Service Improvement Plans
To own the Business Continuity Management plans for the Logistics service within the project.
To liaise closely with the head of Operations regularly and pro-actively feedback areas of concern, risks that may impact future service delivery capabilities and understanding customer developments and needs. Ensure opportunities are captured
To develop and maintain management relationships in the partners? organisation and ensure they are nurtured
To validate all cost of sales recharges to ensure compliance to time, cost, and quality standards
Experience:
Have excellent working knowledge of the supply chain and have an understanding of the improvements that can be made to the existing supply chain process for the benefit of all involved
Demonstrable intellectual capacity to develop and deliver partnered service agreements
Good understanding of a warehouse environment, utilisation of space and allocation of resource
Proven knowledge of Health & Safety and best working practice
Strong analytical, mathematical and data analysis capability
Previous experience of managing stock levels of a significant value
Experience applying inventory control using Warehouse Management Systems
Experience in Inventory management techniques and master data management
Demonstrable ability to develop and deliver simple solutions to complex logistics processes
Skills/Qualifications:
Essential:
Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent in an appropriate discipline. Depth and breadth of experience may be considered where these qualifications have not been attained
