An excellent opportunity for a freelance Logistics Manager has arisen with our construction client who deliver outstanding building envelope solutions within the commercial, student accommodation and stadia sectors.
They are currently looking for a freelance Logistics Manager, to work on a large recladding scheme in the Leeds, LS3 area that will run for a minimum of 89 weeks starting on or around the 18th August 2025.

The Logistics Manager role:
You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all logistical operations such as managing the flow of materials, equipment, and labour to ensure the smooth and efficient progress of the construction project.
Materials will consist of cladding items such as cladding panels, insulation, fixings, brackets, windows and glass. Experience with cladding would be beneficial.
The Logistics Manager will work closely with the site team including a project manager, site supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain an organised, safe, and productive construction environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics management, particularly in high-rise residential projects, and will possess excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the movement of materials, plant, and personnel across a busy construction site
Supervise and coordinate a team of labourers, traffic marshalls, hoist drivers, cleaners, and various trades
Maintain high health & safety standards on-site
Liaise with site management, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries to meet project deadlines
Implement, improve and enforce site logistics plans, site operations and traffic management strategies
Oversee waste management including site waste disposal in line with environmental legislation, hoarding, and material handling operations
Develop and manage the construction logistics plan, including traffic management, delivery scheduling, and storage areas.Requirements:
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and site traffic management
Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme)
CSCS Card
Valid First Aid at Work certification
Proven experience in a logistics management role on busy construction sites
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Ability to manage multiple moving parts and keep site operations running smoothly
Competent with various IT systemsSalary and Benefits:
