Transport Manager

Location: Leeds
Salary: £45,000.00

Summary:
An experienced Transport Manager with a strong knowledge of fleet management, compliance and logistics operations as well as proven staff management and customer service skills is required to oversee and optimise a 3PL frozen and chilled distribution operation.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of c70 drivers
Conduct regular appraisals and reviews
Ensure full compliance with operating licenses and DVSA regulations
Optimise planned delivery routes for efficiency and cost effectiveness
Track and report daily and weekly KPIs
Provide insights and recommendations of process improvements
Respond to and resolve any customer delivery issues
Experience:

CPC qualification required
Up to date knowledge and competence in standard license regulations
Excellent leadership and organisational skills
Proven experience of managing and developing teams
Good customer service skills
Previous experience from a multi temperature 3PL distribution environment preferred.
