We are looking for a experienced Transport Manager to work for a well known Distributor
Daily duties and responsibilities
• Coordinate the day-to-day transport operation of the depot, ensuring that the fleet operates in a compliant, efficient and effective manner
• Manage the operational planning, ensuring that we’re meeting the agreed levels of service with our customers
• Continually control and review cost, identifying and executing opportunities for efficiency, cost-saving and process improvement
• Lead and inspire your small team, supporting their progression and development within the business
• A proven track record of managing a fast-paced, complex transport function and international CPC qualification
• Excellent working knowledge of working time directive and all other associated transport legislation
• The ability to think commercially and make business-minded decisions with an understanding of operational cost drivers
• Strong communication skills with ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
