This Transport Manager role is working in our Jewson Branch in Llangefni. Jewson is the biggest employer in the UK Saint-Gobain business, with over 500 braches.

What will I be doing in this role?

The Transport Manager position is key to the performance of the branch network. You will be responsible for all customer transport activity within the business unit, ensuring that legal compliance and EHS polices are adhered to.

Key day to day duties include:

Manage all commercial vehicle movements across Business Unit to meet the Jewson customer value proposition
Management of delivery capacity across the Business Unit with the customer in mind
Planning local branch deliveries, allocating deliveries and transport movements for the Business Unit to meet customer requirements
Management of servicing schedule and any additional resource requirements.
Management of local branch incident damage reporting and supporting the Business Units incident reporting.
Responsible for Transport KPI and KPI improvement within Business Unit
Responsibility to support and resolve all transport related issues across the Business Unit, with escalation to Regional Transport Managers where requiredWhat skills are we looking for?

Third-party relationship management - Develop strong collaborative relationships across the BU and other stakeholders with a goal around delivering outstanding customer experience
Transport and route planning- the ability to operate within all transport related processes and policies, in order to meet our customer value proposition, whilst ensuring OTIF performance.Please note that product and system training can be provided where applicants may lack this knowledge.
