DAEWOO is boosting its fleet operation in preparation for a big increase in sales at the end of 1997 with the launch of three new models.

Two extra regional fleet managers have bolstered the Korean firm's fleet profile in the north and Midlands. Phil Davies joins from Nissan GB where he worked as a zone manager, while Paul Robertson joins from British Steel.

Although Daewoo cars are currently creeping on to several important fleet lists, any substantial growth in business sales is unlikely before the end of next year when the outdated Nexia and Espero are replaced. A larger executive car is also planned. The three basic ranges will spawn several derivatives, such as estates and hatchbacks.
