BUSINESS is booming for Vauxhall's Business User Support Centres celebrating their first anniversary of focusing on sub-100 vehicle fleets.

A total of 310 dealers from 510 franchises were given BUS Centre status by Vauxhall over a six-month period to spring 1995. The effect was to give small fleets a one-stop shop for all their requirements through the combining of the BUS area of Vauxhall fleet sales with Vauxhall Master Hire Leasing. Now, a year after completing the BUS network Vauxhall's direct customer contact from BUS Centre referrals has increased by 73%.

BUS centres are able to access a special demonstrator fleet to enable their customers to properly appraise vehicles in their own time. A dedicated Vauxhall regional field manager is also available to advise and support them and their customers and in-house contract hire software and comprehensive support services from Vauxhall BUS and Master Hire are on hand.

As a result of the BUS developments Vauxhall has established itself as number one in the sub-25 business market, according to a Harris survey. In addition Vauxhall Master Hire reported a 6% rise in volume on 1994 and in the first four months of 1996 a record-breaking 13% share of all Vauxhalls sold to the leasing market have been through Master Hire.
