LEASE Plan has more than doubled its business with printing to videos company Tektronix in a leasing deal which offers evidence that pan-European business is on the increase.

The development is an extension of Lease Plan's existing contract to supply Tektronix's UK operation with vehicles under its Open Calculation scheme. Although widely predicted to increase, pan-European sourcing deals are still relatively uncommon, but at last month's ECATRA conference, leading leasing chiefs said larger clients were considering the option (Fleet News, June 14).

Under the terms of the deal, Lease Plan will supply an additional 230 vehicles to Tektronix' 12 European subsidiaries as well as the UK operation's 120 cars. Tektronix's UK managing director Peter Tong said Lease Plan's strength across the continent ensured it could deliver consistent pricing and service in every country.

The deal includes accident management, LP Assist breakdown and recovery service as well as full driver contact. Lease Plan's UK office has produced a Tektronix vehicle selection pack which outlines entitlement and will be automatically distributed to each driver throughout Europe. Drivers simply contact their local Lease Plan office to confirm specification details before the order is endorsed by Tektronix' local country manager.
