LABOUR MP Fabian Hamilton has taken the lead in greener motoring by becoming the first member of the House of Commons to buy a dual-fuel vehicle. The former taxi driver, who represents Leeds North East, has bought a Vauxhall Vectra CD running on petrol or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) from Leeds-based Dixon's Vauxhall.

Earlier in the year Hamilton broke ranks to reveal serious concerns about the Government's alternative transport policy.
