PORSCHE has launched a new finance company offering fleet customers a bespoke service through its nationwide network of dealerships. The manufacturer, with 'backroom' support from Capital Bank, has unveiled Porsche Financial Services GB, which it says will offer the user-chooser fleet customer a more flexible service.

Peter Mahon, general manager of the new operation, said: 'This is not a case of breaking into fleets in a big way - we will never do great volumes - but, through the chain of outlets, business users will now be able to enjoy a more bespoke service. By launching our own financial services operation, we have a far greater degree of flexibility and, therefore, if demand does grow in the fleet market, we can work towards that.'

Capital Bank Motor is acting as the 'service provider' delivering a central processing operation based in Chester, customer services and marketing and accounting functions. Albert Moser, president of Porsche Financial Services, said: 'For a marque as influential and instantly recognisable as Porsche, it was vital that our own-brand finance product should set new standards in terms of quality.'
