FIFTEEN taxis are taking the 'green' message on to the streets of London. They are running on BP Greener Diesel as part of the fuel company's Greener Fuels campaign. The ultra-low sulphur diesel is claimed to emit 90% less sulphur dioxide and nearly a third less particulates and black smoke than standard diesel.

The taxis' black-to-green livery makes them stand out from the rest and the drivers have information packs to answer questions from curious passengers. As part of its ongoing Greener Fuels programme, BP is also introducing three new fuels to its service stations - BP Greener Diesel, Lead Replacement Petrol and BP Autogas.
