Pacey new Accord

HONDA'S Accord will feature performance tweaks and styling changes for the 2001 model year. A high-spec 2.3i Type-V joins the range offering 150bhp and 152lb-ft of torque, with leather trim, electrically adjustable driver's seat, cruise control and sunroof as standard.

All models will feature a new grille with a revised 'H' logo, deeper bumpers front and rear give the Accord a sportier appearance. The chassis has been fine-tuned on all models, except the Type-R, to improve ride comfort and offer better steering precision. Prices remain unchanged at 1.8i S, £14,495, 2.0i SE, £15,995, 2.0i SE Executive, £17,495, 2.3i Type-V, £19,495, 2.2i Type-R, £21,495.
