INCHCAPE has acquired a 49% holding in Eurofleet for £12.3 million in a deal to boost its logistics and fulfilment business. Inchcape's Seaking Automotive subsidiary expects to benefit through access to services which will allow both businesses to expand in the refurbishment and remarketing segments.

Robert Wilkinson, chief executive of Eurofleet, said: 'We will be able to work with Inchcape in taking their logistics and fulfilment offering to a new level, and they will be able to offer sales channels for the vehicles we process. The company is also in a strong position to support Eurofleet's longer term strategic aim of building a presence in mainland Europe.'
