THE powerful combination of Rotherham as an attacking force and Bath as defensive giants has secured top place in the first Fleet News ATS Euromaster Rugby Challenge League Table.

Bath Dodgers managed by Richard Penning, transport services manager at Bath and North East Somerset PCT NHS Trust are the first league leaders.

'For once Bath's defence did me a favour — but so far they've been pretty rubbish this season. However, they are my team so I had to pick them,' said Penning.

Fantasy managers with Rotherham as their attacking force have been cracking open the beer barrels after their team mauled Birmingham / Solihull 56-16 — the fifth time Rotherham has scored over 50 points this season.

Not wanting to concentrate solely on the top of the table, Balmullo Boys are the first team to prop up the league. A points difference of –16 owes much to manager Caroline Nelson from Brand-Rex Ltd in Fife, Scotland, picking Otley as her defensive team — although she blamed the selection on her boyfriend.
