• BOB Lowden has been appointed director of network strategy and development at Iveco Ford Truck. Lowden has been with the company since 1990, most recently as operations manager in the customer service business unit.

  • VOLVO has appointed Simon Munn as sales and marketing director. This follows the promotion of Hugh Reid to managing director and Gerry Keaney's move to vice-president, sales, for the company in Sweden.

  • ROBERT Keegan has been appointed to take over the duties of chief executive officer with Goodyear as from January 1, 2003. This will be in addition to his current role as the company's president and chief operating officer. Samir Gibara, currently chairman and chief executive officer, will remain as chairman of the board.

  • RAWDON Glover has taken over as head of operations for SEAT. He replaces Gary Savage, who takes up Glover's previous duties as head of marketing for Audi UK.

  • THE BVRLA has appointed David Hanson as membership development manager. Hanson comes from National Westminster Bank, where he was customer relations manager. Part of his responsibilities include upgrading the membership database, developing relationships and implementing recruitment activities.

  • JOHN Poulton has joined the Fleet Auction Group as group logistics manager. His responsibilities include the transport department covering cars, light commercial vehicles and heavy commercial vehicles. Poulton was previously with John Cook Ltd as assistant logistics manager.

  • BILL Seymour has been appointed chief executive officer with International Decision Systems (IDS), software supplier to the contract hire industry. Seymour has held senior roles with Xerox, Olivetti and overseen the CEO role at IDS for the past six months. He is based at Winchester and reports to chairman, John Hubert.

  • STEVE Tucker has been appointed regional network manager for ABS, the vehicle repair network. Tucker has 31 years' experience in the vehicle repair industry and has worked for companies such as Cornhill Insurance and AIA. Most recently he was a self-employed independent assessor.

  • ROBERT Frost has been appointed marketing director with Alfa Romeo. This appointment completes the new management team. Other members reporting to managing director Glyn Owen, are Kevin Jones, dealer development director, Nigel Best, fleet director and Jeff Culkin, sales director. The team's extensive experience inlcudes spells at companies such as several European bases of Fiat and Lexus.
