CAR and Commercial Vehicle Solutions and Cold Chain Vehicle Solutions have announced pre-tax profits of more than £80,000 in their first six months trading.

The two Newport Pagnell-based firms, specialising in the supply of vehicles ranging from car-derived vans to 7.5 tonne trucks, reported pre-tax profits of £81,352 on combined turnover of £401,000 for the six months to August 31. Paul McKay, founder and managing director of the two firms, said: 'Our ability to return significant profits in our first half-year of trading underlines the fact that our unique business is winning support from fleets.'
