THE British Army is taking delivery of a fleet of 92 Ford Ranger pickups for its new national recruitment campaign.
The double cab vehicles will carry the livery of each of the Army's 92 regimental recruiting teams. Each ranger has a Truckman top to enclose the pickup bed for security and comes with a tow bar so the recruiting trailer can be hitched up.
Supplied by Lex Defence, the Ranger will be joined by 15 Ford Galaxies converted into mobile career information offices, complete with drop-down 13-inch video screen, table and swivel seats, for the recruitment drive.
Ford direct sales manager Dave Allen said: 'We are sure the British Army will find the durability, generous storage space and security features of this versatile, dependable vehicle, an ideal asset.'
