First showing for Peugeot's new sporty estate

PEUGEOT has revealed the first pictures of its new 206 SW, which will go on sale in the UK this summer.

The sporty estate version of the 206 will be built at Peugeot's Ryton plant in Coventry, and offers a 28% larger luggage area than the hatchback, along with rear door handles inset into the pillars and independently opening tailgate glass.

It will be powered by a choice of 1.1, 1.4 and 1.6-litre petrol engines with a 90bhp 2.0 HDi diesel, while a 1.4-litre HDi will follow in October. Prices will be announced closer to its launch and it will make its public debut at next month's Geneva Motor Show.
