LONDON Mayor Ken Livingstone has launched a series of free cycle guides to the capital after research revealed most trips in London were less than two miles - within easy cycling distance.

Transport for London has been working in partnership with the London Cycling Campaign, the London Cycle Network and the London Boroughs, to develop the series of 19 cycle guides to cover the Greater London Area.

More than one million of the guides will be handed out to residents and free copies can be obtained by calling 020 7222 1234.
