STAFF have given the thumbs up to their company's decision to switch its solus car deal to Toyota.

IT solutions company Croft switched from Rover to Toyota six months ago and its field engineers have been getting used to 1.6-litre versions of the Avensis.

The cars are Avensis 1.6 Vermonts, with GS models for senior engineers, although drivers are able to use their own salary to upgrade to higher-spec models.

Croft managing director Phil Renton said: 'We wanted to know how the drivers felt about their new cars, so we conducted a telephone survey. The cars are comfortable and well appointed, and the boot is much bigger, allowing the drivers to carry more spares. And the GS drivers wouldn't be without the satnav.'
