FORD has finally put its TDCi common rail turbodiesel engine into Transit and Tourneo minibus.

The new engine offers improved performance, better fuel efficiency, lower noise levels and reduced emissions. The engine is initially offered as a 2.0-litre, 125 bhp option on front-wheel drive Transit models and in all Ford Tourneo Minibuses.

The new engine models have ABS brakes as standard. The 2.0-litre Duratorq TDCi develops 125 bhp at 3,800 rpm and peak torque of 210 lb-ft from 1,500 rpm through to 2,200 rpm. The 2.0-litre, 100 bhp engine will be still available.
