Volvo trials fleet roadshow scheme

VOLVO has embarked on a pilot programme of tours to business parks to show its cars to company car drivers. If successful, the firm will roll its tour out nationwide.

The tour is backed by local dealers in the north of England and Scotland and includes a S40, V40, S60 and C70 models, with staff explaining tax implications, finance options and service and insurance packages. Lunch is provided for those who opt to get behind the wheel.

Clive Brook of Yorkshire dealer Harratts, which is involved in displays in Wakefield, Rotherham and Sheffield, said: 'We live in a world where you can have almost anything delivered to your doorstep, so why not a Volvo? Offering test drives on business parks is one step closer to making these cars more accessible to everyone.'
