Training launch

TRANSPORT Secretary John Spellar has launched a new training programme for passenger assistants working in the minibus fleets of local authorities, health bodies and the voluntary sector.

Developed by the Community Transport Association and Hampshire County Council, PATS (passenger assistant training scheme) is designed to give training and 'added confidence' to passenger assistants working with a range of vulnerable people.
