NORFOLK Constabulary has taken delivery of a Toyota Prius to assess its suitability as a fleet car.

The petrol/electric hybrid vehicle is being test driven by the constabulary alongside a RAV4, Corolla, Land Cruiser and Avensis and will be used as a pool car. Mark Davy, fleet manager for the Norfolk Constabulary said: 'The constabulary is developing a green policy for police vehicles that will consider the benefits of using alternative fuels.'
