IT services company Steria is renewing and expanding an existing fleet deal with Vauxhall on the strength of the manufacturer's new models.

The company, which operates in 12 European countries, operates a dual-badge fleet of 750 cars in the UK, and fleet executives claim to have been impressed by new models such as the Signum, Meriva and Vectra estate that are due for launch shortly.

About 500 cars are Vauxhalls, ranging from Omega to Corsa, with the bulk of the fleet for middle managers and engineers being Vectra, Zafira and Astra.

Steria uses the services of three contract hire companies. Fleet manager Tony Brady said: 'The Signum and the Meriva are due to be launched shortly, followed by the Vectra estate later this year and a range of other models scheduled for next year and beyond, which will provide our drivers with an even wider choice of new models from which to choose over the coming months and years. Our arrangement with Vauxhall also allows the choice of some Saab models.'

All of Steria's company car drivers are able to trade up or down the car choice lists to meet their personal needs and all were polled before the new contract with Vauxhall was signed.
