COMMUNICATIONS giant BT has slashed its accident rate by 30% during the past four years after introducing new technology (Fleet NewsNet, April 8). BT introduced the online driver-training programme, Virtual Fleet Risk Management (VFRM.net) in a bid to cut accident rates.

Currently about 20,000 of BT's 70,000 employees are completing the training programme, which identifies high-risk drivers so they can be helped to reduce the likelihood of crashing while on the road.
