CAR rental company Dollar Thrifty Europe has appointed Tom Knopek as managing director, international sales and marketing.

His former role was director group leisure sales with Avis Europe and he has spent 20 years in the leisure service industry. Executive vice-president Yves Boyer said: ‘Knopek will help steer growth of corporate and leisure business from the UK to North America and across Europe.’
