SUZUKI will launch a hot-hatchback version of its new Swift model in Britain next summer, it was revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show.

The Sport should be on sale from June in three-door form with an all-alloy, twin-cam 1.6-litre motor developing 125bhp and uprated suspension and braking systems, according to the company. Fitted with Recaro sports seats and stainless steel pedals, it is expected to cost about £1,500 more than the standard car.
