BA chief’s role

DEPARTING British Airways chief executive Rod Eddington is to advise the Government on how to fix Britain’s transport system, Chancellor Gordon Brown announced in last week’s Budget.

He said Eddington would work to ‘examine Britain’s long-term needs and priorities’.
