THE latest industry appointments.

  • TONY Dittli, the former fleet operations manager of Fiat Auto UK, will now be responsible for both Fiat and Alfa Romeo as fleet director for both brands. Dittli will head up all fleet operations including corporate, public sector and specialist sales. He will manage the 15-strong fleet department and will run both the Alfa and Fiat corporate sales teams as one business.

  • FLEET management and logistics group, Ryder, has appointed Robin White as head of marketing for Ryder Europe. He will be responsible for developing Ryder’s marketing and public relations strategy for its European businesses, developing the brand’s presence and communicating fleet management initiatives. White has several years’ marketing experience including posts at Unipart, the BBC and e-commerce group Nettec.

  • SATELLITE navigation provider Trafficmaster has appointed Phil Davies as corporate sales manager. Davies will be responsible for selling products, including Smartnav and RAC Trackstart satellite navigation and tracking systems, to daily rental and contract hire companies. He brings more than 15 years’ experience to the company with roles including business development manager at Remploy Automotive and sales and marketing positions at MG Rover, Nissan and Daewoo.

  • MARK Goldie has been promoted to commercial service manager at the Benfield Motor Group’s Volkswagen Van Centre. Goldie joined the company in 1998 where he was responsible for overseeing the commercial vehicle department. During the past six years he has helped develop the commercial vehicles operation and in his new role he will continue this, focusing on customer service and maintaining high performance management.

  • COMMERCIAL vehicle rental and contract hire company The Burnt Tree Group has appointed Juliet Smith as contract hire sales director. Smith has more than 15 years’ sales experience in the motor transport industry and initially joined Burnt Tree in 2000 as national contract hire manager.
