THE Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMI) has elected Keith Sayfritz, group chairman and managing director of truck dealer Greenhous Commercials, as its new president.
Sayfritz has more than 30 years’ industry experience and is the first commercial vehicle dealer to be RMI president. He succeeds Colin Parlett of CB Motors. Sayfritz said: ‘My intention is to maintain and build on the dialogue that now exists between the industry and Government in order to assure the continuing success of our sector.’

  • ANDRE Lacroix will be joining Inchcape as group chief executive. He will join the board of Inchcape on September 1 and will take on the role of group chief executive on January 1, 2006. Lacroix joins from Euro Disney, where he was chairman and chief executive officer for almost two years.

  • NISSAN has appointed Mark Hamilton as national rental manager. Hamilton has been working for Nissan in his current role as southern LCV area fleet manager for the past two years. He has 23 years’ motor industry experience gained with several manufacturers.

  • FLEET and fuel management group Arval has appointed Nick Saunders as head of its relationship management team. Saunders brings more than 15 years’ experience in the fleet industry and joins Arval from Hitachi Capital Vehicle solutions where he was head of customer service. Previously he worked at Continental Tyres and started his career at Arval. As part of his role will be responsible for managing senior relationships with Arval’s network partners.

  • VANGUARD Rental has appointed Dawn Clayton as consumer marketing manager. She will be responsible for promoting the Guy Salmon Prestige Rental brand to domestic and leisure and business travellers. Clayton joins from First Great Western where she was marketing manager.

  • ADAM Craig has joined Honda UK’s corporate team as leasing manager corporate sales. He will be responsible for the south of England and joins from MG Rover where he had been in a similar role for the past three years. Prior to that he worked at Lex Vehicle Leasing as area sales manager.

  • STACEY Kiley has joined Kingsley Motor Co as corporate sales executive for the south including Reading, Maidenhead and Bracknell. Prior to joining Kingsley Kiley worked at Volvo for two years and prior to that was employed in the telecommunications industry. She will be responsible for local businesses and corporate clients in the southern region.

  • UK TODAY, the same day delivery and logistics arm of Business Post Group, has promoted Scott Shepherd to sales and marketing director. Shepherd has been with Business Post Group for six years most recently as national sales manager, group services. He joined the group as sales executive in 1999. Shepherd will be responsible for the sales development of UK Today including the group strategy.

  • CONTINENTAL Tyres has promoted Barry Guildford to general sales manager for the Industrial Tyre Division. Guildford will be responsible for Continental’s original equipment and replacement industrial tyre business in the UK.He joined Continental in 2001 as truck and remould brand manager.

  • GLASS’S has made two new senior appointments – Brian Ruddock as key account director and Mike Paterson as partnerships manager. Ruddock will be responsible for a 10-strong major accounts team. Paterson takes on a newly created role and will be responsible for optimising current and future revenue opportunities alongside third party suppliers.
