Hertz launches new green initiative

CUSTOMERS of daily rental giant Hertz can opt for its most environmentally- friendly and fuel-efficient vehicles as part of its launch this week of the Hertz Green Collection.

Vehicles in the range have a weighted CO2 output of less than 140g/km and each achieves between 41.5 and 65.7mpg. Bill Jones, vice-president, marketing and sales, said: ‘We’ve had thousands of fuel-efficient cars for years and we’re taking the step to help customers easily select the greenest cars we offer.

‘Hertz is committed to purchasing more vehicles of this calibre, giving customers the opportunity to book exactly what they want.’

The company will also add hybrid dual fuel cars.

The European launch of Green Collection is in line with Hertz’s global initiative, which started last month.
