Safety cash

THE Department for Transport has awarded £76,000 to Brake and RoSPA to promote at-work road safety.

Under its Road Safety Grant Challenge Fund 2006-07, it awarded Brake £15,780 for a fleet management benchmarking website and RoSPA £17,446 for safer motorcycling at work advice, £12,700 to give employers guidance on in-vehicle technology, £12,645 for driver assessment and £15,323 to produce a drivers’ booklet.
