How many vehicles are you responsible for?
I look after a small fleet of vehicles that are mainly Mercedes-Benz, Audi and BMW. We also have employees that have opted for car allowances who need to be managed and we also hire vehicles.
What is your fleet history?
I trained as a mechanic after school and have always had an interest in cars as my father owns a garage. Due to the size of our fleet, mine is only a part-time role and working in finance helps with a tight control on the fleet.
Do you enjoy the job and, if so, why?
Yes, as I get to keep up to date with the fleet market. The main enjoyment probably comes from finding a car under budget.
What annoys you at work?
Car service costs and how they differ on where you are based in the country.
What would make your life easier?
Less paperwork and easier guidelines to work with.
What do you do to relax after work?
I work as a youth worker and I also enjoy walking, reading and lots of holidays.
