With the clocks going back this weekend, the THINK! road safety campaign is reminding parents to make sure their children are safe walking home at night.

The campaign is advising parents to make their children wear bright or reflective clothing at night, walk along well lit routes in groups, if possible, and make sure their bikes have lights.

Minister for Road Safety Jim Fitzpatrick said: "Children need to be extra careful on the roads in the winter months. And at the same time, drivers also need to take extra care and look out for children."
