Fleet managers can calculate vehicles’ carbon footprints

Contract hire providers can now offer their customers a facility that calculates the carbon footprint of vehicles they are considering or that are already on their fleet, and then identifies similar offerings with lower CO2 outputs.

CAP’s new Environmental Fleet Manager can be used to calculate and compare single vehicles up to entire fleets.

It also provides a carbon offset calculation function for companies offering offsetting to customers.

The online service can be provided as a CAP branded system or can be branded by the contract hire operator to offer as a service to their customers.

While all cars and car-derived vans are covered, LCVs are not as not all manufacturers provide CO2 emission data for commercial vehicles.
