THIS is Volvo’s all-new V70 estate, due to arrive in the UK in September.

Featuring a new look inspired by the S80 executive saloon, the V70 boasts a more luxurious interior, improved driving dynamics, more flexible interior space and an extra 55 litres of luggage capacity over the old, and already spacious, model.

The engine line-up will feature two familiar diesels – the 165bhp 2.4D and the 185bhp D5, as well as three petrol units – a 2.5-litre in-line turbocharged five-cylinder unit offering 200bhp (which will also be available later in the year to run on E85 bio-ethanol), the 3.2-litre straight-six from the S80, which develops 240bhp, and a new in-line six-cylinder turbocharged T6 unit with 285bhp.

Prices will be announced in June.
