HEREFORD and Worcester Ambulance Service has added three Skoda Octavia 4x4 vehicles to its fleet.

The four-wheel drive vehicles will carry staff and equipment so more patients can be treated in their own homes.

Facilities manager Neil Crump said the service plans to add more of the Octavia 1.9 TDI vehicles to its fleet in the near future.

He added: ‘We specifically wanted four-wheel drives so we can reach people whatever the weather.’
