PEOPLE who drive while using hand-held mobile phones are the biggest pet hate of Britain’s van drivers.

In a survey on the nation’s attitudes to driving and road safety released today by Parrot, the provider of wireless mobile peripherals, nearly 50% of van drivers identified hand- held mobile phone use as the most irritating habit on the road.

Being cut up (21%), speeding (6%), Sunday drivers (11%) or seeing children without seatbelts or child seats (16%), all came in behind their loathing of Britain’s mobile motoring menaces.
