Jaguar’s much-needed S-type replacement, the XF, won’t be unveiled until September’s Frankfurt Motor Show but we’ve caught the new car’s interior undisguised.

While much of it is fairly traditional, the JaguarDrive Selector automatic gearbox has made it over from the C-XF concept revealed at Detroit earlier this year. This uses a metal disc that has a circular action to select a gear, although much of this is hidden in the picture by the driver’s arm.

The XF goes on sale in the UK early next year with prices starting at a rumoured £33,000 for the 3.0-litre V6 petrol.
